My little girl just turned 12 this past week. For her birthday this year she asked if she could have a big girl room like her older sisters. So with much planning I surprised her with a total bedroom makeover that anyone would be jealous over. The furniture is by Alpine Furniture, its very mid century. The furniture is made sturdy with solid wood and dovetail drawers. We styled her room with accent pieces from amazon and target. I wanted items that any pre-teens would dream of having in their bedroom so we hung a hammock chair in the corner by the window for a perfect cozy area for her to watch tv or read a book. The bedding is from target by the threshold collection and the throw pillows are a modern tufted square throw pillow from the Project 62 collection at Target. The area rug is a 9' x 12' geometric moroccan area rug purchased from Amazon. We brought some life to the room with a majesty palm and fiddle fig tree from costa farms. My daughter had a desk and book case that were in to good of shape to trash so we did a little DIY project to them and painted with the magnolia home chalk paint in the color duke grey from Lowes to give it a bright new look. Her room is painted a chic grey color using Shermin William paint. This room turned out so great the pictures don't do it justice.
